Donate Your Interest Amount (Faiz Fund)
This fund pays only the interest portion of verified loans so people can exit Riba permanently. Your donated bank interest / unwanted Riba is routed directly to lenders; applicants clear their own principal. No sadaqah/zakat is taken here—just interest money used to rescue others from interest.
SDA – Darul Khair
Debt Relief & Interest Exit Program (Official Policy Document)
1. Purpose of the Program
The Debt Relief & Interest Exit Program of SDA – Darul Khair is established to support individuals who are trapped in interest-based (Riba) loans. The objective is to help them come out of the interest system permanently by paying the interest portion of their outstanding loan from a dedicated fund, while the borrower pays the principal amount themselves.
This program aims to: – Rescue individuals from the burden of Riba. – Provide immediate financial relief. – Guide them towards an interest-free, Shariah-compliant lifestyle. – Ensure they do not return to interest-based borrowing in the future.
2. Eligibility Criteria
A person may apply for assistance if: 1. They currently have an interest-based loan. 2. They agree to pay their principal amount themselves. 3. They agree not to enter any interest-based dealings again. 4. They sign the “No More Interest Agreement.” 5. They attend a basic Islamic financial awareness session. 6. They provide complete documentation for verification.
3. How the Assistance Works
Step 1 — Loan Verification
The applicant must submit official documents showing: – Total principal borrowed – Total interest accumulated – Total outstanding loan amount
The SDA team will verify all documentation.
Step 2 — Interest Portion Paid by Darul Khair
From the SDA Interest Clearing Fund, Darul Khair will pay only the interest portion directly to the bank or financial institution.
Example: – Total Loan: ₹1,10,000 – Principal: ₹1,00,000 – Interest: ₹10,000
Darul Khair will pay ₹10,000 (interest only).
Step 3 — Borrower Pays the Principal Amount
The borrower must pay the principal amount from their own resources.
Once the principal and interest portions are cleared, the loan account is fully closed, and the borrower exits the interest system completely.
Step 4 — Optional Repayment to Darul Khair
After being relieved from the interest system, if the person wishes, they may voluntarily repay Darul Khair the interest amount without any extra charges.
This repayment is optional and is not considered a loan.
4. Islamic Compliance
This program is compliant with Islamic principles because: – Removing someone from interest is considered a great act of charity. – Using donor-generated interest (faiz) to help people escape Riba is permissible. – Interest money cannot be used for mosques or religious constructions but can be used to rescue individuals from interest-based debts.
Darul Khair is not participating in Riba; rather, it is helping people exit Riba.
5. Interest Clearing Fund (Faiz Fund)
A dedicated fund, named SDA Interest Clearing Fund, will be created.
This fund will accept: – Donors’ bank interest – Unwanted Riba money – Any amount that is not permissible to use for religious causes
This fund will be used only for: – Paying the interest portion of applicants’ loans
It will not be used for any other SDA service or project.
6. No More Interest Agreement (Declaration)
Each applicant must sign the following declaration: – I will not take any interest-based loan in the future. – I will avoid credit cards, app loans, and all Riba-based systems. – I will seek guidance from SDA if I face financial difficulty. – I will attend the SDA financial awareness session. – I commit to live according to Islamic financial principles.
