SDA Introduction

The SDA project was initiated to help the needy through Qarz-e-Hasna (interest-free loan) and to address their problems in the most efficient manner possible. The members of the SDA are not just individuals, but a family and a unity, which will, God willing, be as strong as a sturdy rope. It is essential for us to come together and help each other. Due to differences, human rights and their fundamental needs are often ignored. Therefore, the organization is striving to unite people to fulfill their rights and basic needs, and will continue to do so, InshaAllah.

Purpose of SDA:

The purpose of SDA is to address the basic needs of all its members, strengthen unity among them, reduce division on religious grounds, minimize interest-based businesses, serve humanity, and fulfill the needs of the underprivileged. InshaAllah, these actions will become a means of success for us in this world and the hereafter.

Providing interest-free loans (Qarz-e-Hasna)

"Qarz-e-Hasna" (interest-free loan)

“Qarz-e-Hasna” (interest-free loan) is an essential need of the time. The absence of an interest-free loan system has led to a majority of individuals in our society being trapped in the vicious cycle of the interest-based banking system, which is a major sin. Through the system of “Qarz-e-Hasna”, we can rescue society from this cursed system, and thus relieve ourselves of the burden of this major sin.

Including Mosques and Institutions

Given the current circumstances and needs of the society, it is crucial to include mosques and institutions in Qarz-e-Hasna programs. When mosques and institutions are verified for Qarz-e-Hasna, it helps prevent fraud and ensures that deserving individuals receive financial assistance. Additionally, including these institutions makes it easier to reach those who are in real need of help.

Involving the Public

The SDAs (Social & Development Alliance) are like a family, and the more people join this project, the stronger and more resilient the community will become. It is important to note that each member will have their own identity, and this will make it easier to provide them with assistance when needed. Through this approach, cooperation among members can be effectively utilized.

How can the needy obtain a loan?

There are two ways to obtain a loan:

If the individual is an SDAs member, they must have been a member for at least two years or have two witnesses who have been members for at least one year to testify for them
If the individual is not an SDA member, they must obtain a verification letter from their local mosque.

Note:

The amount of Qarz-e-Hasna (interest-free loan) cannot exceed five thousand.

An online application for Qarz-e-Hasna can be submitted.

Every individual must complete the ECS before applying for a loan. (This will ensure that we receive your monthly installments.)

In case the beneficiary does not have access to banking facilities, their authorization (consent) is necessary, which must be provided by the SDA’s authorized members.
